Police need help finding missing man

NOTE: According to this report posted at 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 27 on the Indianapolis WISH-TV Web site, the Rev. Ivan Jenkins, a retired minister of the South Indiana Conference, is missing. Here is the report.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH-TV) – An Indianapolis man flew back home again to Indiana, then disappeared. Indianapolis International Airport Police are asking for the public’s help in finding 77-year-old Ivan Jenkins.

Jenkins and his adult daughter’s flight arrived in Indy at midnight on Tuesday. They argued about where they had parked the car and split up to look for it.

Airport police confirm that Jenkins left the parking garage at 1:30 a.m. Meanwhile, his daughter was looking for him.

“At that point, she just assumed that her father had found the automobile. She got a taxicab and went home to her residence, assumed that Dad went back to his, and she tried to contact him in the morning and didn’t get an answer at his residence.”

Family members say Jenkins has early onset dementia and could be lost or confused.

If you have any information about his whereabouts, you’re asked to call airport police at 317-487-5088.
