Response Editor Dana Jones to speak
Indiana United Methodist Women to celebrate together Nov. 2-3
United Methodist Women's Conference CELEBRATION will be held on Nov. 2-3, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th Street (one block west of Meridian) in Indianapolis.
The Celebration will start on Friday, Nov. 2 with an afternoon tea with Dana Jones, guest speaker. Following the tea there will be a choice of either a tour of Lucille Raines Residence or focus groups: Igniting a Fire for Mission, Mission Stories, Young Women's Group, Prayer Shawl Ministry, Health Kits, White Cross Guild heart pillows, or Current issues of Women's Division. The day will conclude with a banquet.
The CELEBRATION continues on Saturday., Nov. 3, with worship, singing, Dana Jones, as the guest speaker, Holy Communion with Bishop Coyner, and North and South UMWs Annual business meetings.
Guest Speaker: Dana Jones is a United Methodist deaconess and director of Communications for the Women's Division of the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries. She served as editor of Response Magazine from 1992-2006.
At the Celebration, there will be a collection box for dry milk (expiration date of 2008-2009) for the Kissy Nutrition Program in Sierre Leone, West Africa. The goal is 2,007 boxes.
Child Care will be available.
