Deaths

ANNE CLARK, wife of the Rev. Arthur Summers Clark (retired - NIC), died May 8, 2007. Survivors include husband, Arthur Summers Clark; four children, Hazel Clark, Jim Clark, Louis Clark and Marcia Franc; sister to Minnie Lee Jones (widow of the late Rev. Gerald H. Jones), 505 Roxbury Ct., Fort Wayne, IN 46807-3116. Condolences can be sent to the Rev. Arthur Summers Clark, 3161 Moller Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46224-2101. ROSS COOK, retired pastor (NIC), died May 25, 2007. Survivors include: wife, Lois; children, Rita Pittman of Tomah, Wisc., Diane Stewart of Cicero, Ind., Gary Cook, Syracuse, Ind.; step-children, Jill Boleman of Atlanta, Ga., Mike Anglin of Nappanee, Ind., Tom Anglin of Nappanee, Ind. and Joan Crieg of Fort Wayne, Ind., former wife, Charlotte Morrill of Syracuse, Ind.; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. ROBERT SPENCER ECCLES, retired pastor (SIC) and former professor and chairman of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at DePauw University, died on May 27, 2007 in Greencastle, Ind. His wife, Kathryn, preceded him in death on Aug. 24, 2006. Survivors include: sons, Bruce and Tom; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

LOIS E. GEIBLE, widow of the late Rev. Merrell D. Geible (NIC), died June 9, 2007. Survivors include: three daughters, Elizabeth Shoemaker, Katherine Geible and Rebecca Geible; and two sons, David and Norman. Memorials can be given to the Merrell D. and Lois E. Geible. FLORENCE JORDAN, mother of the Rev. Laura Ballinger (NIC), died May 22, 2007. Condolences can be sent to the Rev. Laura Ballinger, 251 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750-2728.

David Jerald Lawson, retired Elder, Bishop (SIC) died on May 31, 2007 in Franklin. (See Lawson story.)

CHARLES V. ROCKEY, pastor (NIC), died May 31, 2007. Survivors include his wife, Winifred "Winni" Rockey; mother, Annabelle Rockey, Kokomo; four children, Lesa L.Brown, Monica "MoMo" Wentzel, Charles D. "Chuck" Rockey, Jennifer A. Lewis; and five grandchildren. Memorials can be given to the Family Ties Gospel Music Ministries through the Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, IN 46979-9187.

STEPHEN WESLER, of New Paris, Ohio, and brother of the Rev. Mark Wesler, pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Westfield, Ind. (SIC), died May 10, 2007. Memorials may be made to the Christ UMC Building Fund, 318 North Union Street, Westfield IN 46074.

DAVID W. WIDMOYER, retired pastor (NIC), died June 12, 2007. Survivors include his wife, Donna; son, Clark (Kathy) Widmoyer, Elkhart; and daughters, Beth Bowman, Nappanee; Gail Alexander, Indianapolis; and Portia Ham, Nappanee; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
