Grants are now available for older adult ministriesNASHVILLE, Tenn. - In an effort to support ministries by, with and for older adults, the United Methodist Committee on Older Adult Ministries will be offering grant money for program development. The purpose of the grants is to help local United Methodist congregations, districts, annual/central conferences, UM chaplains and UM-related institutions develop intentional, innovative and creative ministries with older adults. The grant program is the result of the 2004 General Conference's adoption of the Comprehensive Plan for Older Adults. Applications are currently being accepted and must be completed and postmarked no later than Jan. 15, 2007.
