BISHOP THOMAS SYLA BANGURA (retired), 81, died Sept. 24, 2006 in Freetown, Sierra Leone, nearly one year after the Sept. 25 burial of his wife. A memorial service is scheduled for Oct. 8 at King Memorial United Methodist Church, Freetown, Sierra Leone. Bangura began his ministry in The Evangelical United Brethren Church and served as bishop from 1979 to 1992. According to the Rev. Joe Wagner, Bishop Bangura was "one of the key players in the founding of Operation Classroom. JEAN BERGWALL, widow of the late Rev. Evan Bergwall, Sr. (NIC), died Sept. 9, 2006 in Atlanta, Ga. A funeral service was held Sept. 11 at the Roswell United Methodist Church in Roswell, Ga. A graveside service was held on Sept. 13 at the Greenlawn Memorial Park in Fort Wayne. Bishop Sheldon Duecker and the Rev. Lamar Imes officiated at the graveside service. Survivors include: her son, David and his wife of Plantation, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Bergwall, widow of Evan Bergwall, Jr. of Cumming, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. MELAINE SUE ISGRIGG, wife of retired pastor the Rev. Philip Isgrigg of Bartlett, Ill. (NIC), died Sept. 4, 2006. Two memorial services were held. One on Sept. 10 at Gary Memorial UMC in Wheaton, Ill., and the other on Sept. 24 at Castleton UMC in Indianapolis. Survivors include husband, Philip Isgrigg: sons, David and Gregory Winer; grandchildren, Amber Woods, Rebecca and Katelyn Winer. Condolences can be sent to the Rev. Philip Isgrigg, 1619 Camberley Court, Unit 1, Bartlett IL 60103. Memorial gifts can be given to the building fund of Castleton UMC or The American Cancer Society. GEORGE L. LOHMAN III, retired minister (NIC) died Sept. 22, 2006. A memorial service was held Sept. 27 at the Nappanee Missionary Church in Nappanee, Ind., with burial at the Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lafayette, Ind. Survivors include his wife, Ann; three daughters, Mary Deann Nipple, Traci Graham and Lisa Coston; two sons, Jeff Lohman and Todd Lohman of McCordsville; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; one step-son: Tim Bushon; two step-daughters, Julie Smith and Lisa Spry; six step-grandchildren; one sister, Beth Martin of Lafayette; and one brother, Charles Lohman of Crossville, Tenn. Memorials may be given to Tennessee Parents Succeeding, c/o Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN 46567. Condolences may be sent to Ann Lohman, 10598 N. 500 E., Syracuse, IN 46567. ELIZABETH SCHOENECKER, wife of the Rev. Warren Schoenecker (SIC), died Sept. 6, 2006. A memorial service was held Sept. 9 at Old Union UMC in Michell, Ind., with burial in Old Union Cemetery. Survivors include: husband, the Rev. Warren Schoenecker, 5248 US Highway 50 W, Mitchell, IN 47446; one daughter, Kathleen Bunger; and one son, Stephen Schoenecker. RUTH SPENCER, wife of the Rev. Noel Spencer (SIC), died Sept. 17, 2006. A memorial service was held Sept. 20 at Trinity UMC in Rockport with a burial at Santa Clause UMC Cemetery. Survivors include: husband, the Rev.
