University of Evansville Board approves Executive MBA Program

Business school named after the Schroeder Family.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Area professionals soon will be able to receive an executive-style Master of Business Administration degree in 20 months, through a new program approved on Oct. 14, by the Board of Trustees of the United Methodist-related University of Evansville.

UE President Stephen Jennings announced that the new MBA program will be offered beginning in Spring 2007. "The Executive MBA program will be a great complement to The Schroeder Family School of Business Administration's undergraduate classes and community offerings," Jennings said.

The UE Executive MBA will take 20 months for an individual to complete and is designed for individuals from any undergraduate background who have five or more years of progressive professional experience, said Robert Clark, dean of The Schroeder Family School of Business Administration and vice president for strategic initiatives.

The curriculum will be delivered in five consecutive terms with classes on alternate weekends (Friday evening and Saturday sessions) and will include a 10-day international immersion experience. In addition to core courses, the weekend sessions will include instruction and learning exercises that emphasize global themes, such as foreign language instruction and cultural awareness. Invited speakers and other opportunities for students to exchange ideas and engage in learning outside the classroom is also planned.

For additional information on the program, call 812-488-2455 or log on to http://emba.evansville.edu.
