Deaths

FREDERICK BEEDLE, retired pastor (SIC), died Jan. 20, 2006. A memorial service was held Feb. 4 at the Maus Funeral Home in Attica, Ind., with burial at the Riverside Cemetery in Attica. Survivors include: Wife, Evelyn Beedle; son, James Lee Wall; daughter, Ida Mae Garriott; stepsons, Michael, Rick and Frank Watson; stepdaughters, Pamela Baker, Linda White, Barbara North and Melanie Allen; 26 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. EVAN BERGWALL, retired pastor (NIC), died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006. A memorial service was held Feb. 18 at the Roswell United Methodist Church in Roswell, Ga. Survivors include: Wife, Jacqueline; sons, Drew and Evan III; mother, Jean; and brother, David F. Bergwall. Condolences may be sent to Jean Bergwall, 3065 Bunting Run, Cumming, GA 30041. Memorials may be given to the Taylor University Scholarship Fund.

CAROL BURRIS, wife of the Rev. Steve Burris retired pastor (NIC), died Feb. 6, 2006. A memorial service was held Feb. 9 at the Simpson United Methodist Church, in Fort Wayne, Ind. Survivors include: Husband, Steve Burris, and six children: Lisa, Mark Susan, Paul (who is pastor of South Whitley United Methodist Church), Deborah and John; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. ANNA L. CRAMER, wife of former North Indiana Conference pastor, Frank Cramer, died Feb. 23, 2006. A memorial service was held Feb. 27 at New Horizons UMC in Anderson, Ind., with burial in New Oak Hill Cemetery at Plymouth, Ind. BILLY LAVON ROGERS, retired pastor (NIC), died Feb. 10, 2006. A Celebration of Life Service was held Feb. 15 at the Mount Olive UMC in Marion, Ind. Survivors include: Wife, Sandra; sons, the Rev. Paul Rogers (Kokomo Main St. UMC) and Doug Rogers of Geneva; daughter; Amy Downing of Marion and six grandchildren. Condolences can be sent to Sandy Rogers, 604 W. MARIE SMITLEY, widow of retired pastor the late Rev. Keith Smitley (NIC), died Jan. 31, 2006. A memorial service was held Feb. 4 at Good Family Funeral Chapel in Rochester. Survivors include: Son, the Rev. David Smitley of the Otterbein UMC and Phil Smitley; daughters, Janice Wentzel, Eunice Urbin, and Bev Perry. R. DONALD WEAVER, retired pastor (NIC), died Feb. 27, 2006. A memorial service was held March 3 at the St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Frankfort, Ind., with burial in the Kilmore Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be given to the Indiana United Methodist Children's Home, 515 W. Camp St., Lebanon, IN 46052.
