South Indiana Conference announces Historian of the Year Award

The Commission on Archives and History of the South Indiana Conference announces the Historian of the Year award that is to be presented to a Local Church Historian at Annual Conference.

The nominee shall be a Church Historian of a local church in the South Indiana Conference who has not previously received the Award. The nomination shall specify the work of the local church historian that merits consideration for the award and should include the historian's careful research into the history of the local church, ways of informing their constituency of the history, careful documentation of the history, providing innovative documentation or preservation of local church history or of a significant event or person in that history, notable historical work over many years for the local church.

Deadline for nominations is March 1, 2006 and should be sent to: Wesley W. Wilson, Coordinator of Archives and Special Collections, DePauw University Archives, 400 S. College Ave., PO Box 37, Greencastle, IN 46135.
