Franklin Community receives accreditation from CARF-CCACFRANKLIN, Ind. - The Franklin United Methodist Community, a retirement center related to The United Methodist Church, has achieved accreditation from Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities - Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CARF-CCAC) as a Continuing Care Retirement Community. CARF-CCAC is the nation's only accrediting body for continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) and other types of continuums of care offered as aging services networks. Franklin Community's accreditation designation is a five-year term through Dec. 2010 with annual demonstration of conformance to the standards and the policies and procedures required to retain accreditation. According to the Rev. John Eley of the Franklin Community, "this achievement is an indication FUMC's dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons we serve. It is really an honor to obtain this level of accreditation for our very first survey."
