North Indiana Conference pension plan changes coming in January
Beginning January 1, 2007, all clergy appointed to churches in the North Indiana Annual Conference who are now in the Ministerial Protection Plan (MPP) will be enrolled in the Clergy Retirement Security Program (CRSP). CRSP replaces MPP effective January 1, 2007.
The Conference Board of Pension is hosting workshops for Participants on the new CRSP and UMPIP programs twice this Spring and twice in the Fall. We invite Active Clergy to attend one of these workshops to learn more about the benefits of the New CRSP program. General Board of Pension and Health Benefits personnel will be leading the workshops and will illustrate and answer questions about the Plan Benefits of both the Clergy Retirement Security Program and the new United Methodist Personal Investment Plan. In addition, we have included some brief information about CRSP.
More information will be available at the workshop and at the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits Web site, www.gbophb.org. Here are workshops locations, dates and times. April 19 - Dayton UMC, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; April 20 - Hanfield UMC, Marion , 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; Nov. 8 - Valparaiso First UMC, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; and Nov. 9 - Columbia City UMC, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
