Church and Society leader to visit Indiana
The Rev. Jim Winkler, general secretary of the General Board of Church and Society will be in Indiana this spring.
The Rev. Rob Nelson of the North Indiana Conference Board of Church and Society has arranged for Winkler to join with Indiana Bishop Mike Coyner on May 23-24 to present a seminar on "Introducing the Social Principles to Your Congregation" at the Saint Joseph Center in Tipton, Ind. On June 9, Winkler will attend the South Indiana Annual Conference session and will speak in the morning to the Laity Executive Session and the Laity Luncheon. SIC Lay Leader Ike Williams has asked Winkler to tell members what the General Board of Church and Society is and how it operates. The General Board of Church and Society is supported through conference apportionments.
