Needed - Bibles for inmates

Many inmates in our jails and prisons are looking for a way out - not a way out of jail, but a way out of their lifestyles, a way to faith in Jesus Christ. To do this, they need God's word, the Holy Bible.

Because of that need, the Prison and Jail Ministry Committee of the South Indiana Conference Board of Church and Society is collecting paperback Bibles to distribute to jail and prison inmates throughout Indiana.

The Bibles must be paperback to be acceptable to correctional facilities. Preferred is the New International Version (NIV).

The SIC Prison and Jail Ministry Committee will have a collection box at Annual Conference at Bloomington in June. Please help by bringing paperback Bibles to donate. If you would like to make a monetary donation to this cause, send a check payable to South Indiana Conference, 1520 S. Liberty Dr., Bloomington, IN 47403, attn: Prison/Jail Ministries. For more information, send e-mail to pjm@sicumc.org or call the conference office at 800-919-8160.
