Fletcher Place Time Line
1849 Fletcher Methodist Episcopal Church established by Roberts Park Chapel
1882 Second Baptist Church built at College and Fletcher (later to become Fletcher Place Community Center)
1930 Kindergarten established and week-day education
1950 Fletcher Place Christmas Shopping program started
1976 Jack & Jill Preschool started (still in operation)
1994 Survival Skills for Women Program started
1997 Staff expanded
1998 Computer classes started (Computers given & Farm Bureau & other donors
1999 Survival Skills of Men program started
2000 Adult Center for Education building purchased to expand programming
2002 "God's Will Breakfast" began serving on Tuesdays and Thursdays
2004
Survival Skills classes now able to start every three weeks
Web site developed and up and running
Stacy Park Snack Lunch program, six weeks in the summer
