Indiana conferences place two and three in regional Volunteer in Missions givingCollectively, the Volunteers In Mission of the 12-conference North Central Jurisdiction of The United Methodist Church gave more than $3.68 million in contributions and $4.96 million in the value of the work accomplished during 2004, according NCJ-UMVIM. The Indiana Area gave more than $2.3 million through Volunteers in Mission projects worldwide for both contributions and value of work. The South Indiana Conference gave more than $600,000 in VIM contributions, and the North Indiana Conference wasn't far behind with more than $550,000 in contributions. The North Conference took the lead here in Indiana in value of work accomplished at more than $800,000, while the South Conference contributed just under $400,000 in the value of work accomplished. So how did Indiana stack up compared to the other conferences of the Jurisdiction? North Indiana and South Indiana ranked two and three respectfully. The East Ohio Conference ranked first with more than $950,000 in value of work and more than $400,000 in VIM contributions.
