Wesley Manor breaks ground for $10.7 million expansionFRANKFORT, Ind. -- Wesley Manor Retirement Community broke ground Oct. 4 for a $10.7 million expansion to serve residents suffering from Alzheimer's disease and other causes of dementia. This expansion, attached to the manor's current health center, will add 50 memory care unit beds. Upon completion, Wesley Manor plans to renovate the ground and first floors of the health center, housing though suffering from the third phase of dementia. Manor officials say additional private rooms and semi-private rooms will be included in the renovation. Manor spokesperson Nancy A. Raidy said, "The new unit will provide a significant and powerful opportunity to impact the lives of many of our Wesley Manor family members." Wesley Manor completed its first year of a $1.6 million three-year capital campaign to help fund a portion of the expansion. "Manor residents, staff and the community as well as others who believe in this ministry wanted to help with this important project and have given $1.2 million in cash gifts and pledges to date," Raidy said.
