Men's and hunger relief group offer joint Lenten program on justice

By Matthew Oates

Men's groups across North Indiana can participate in a Lenten devotional program and help hungry Hoosiers at the same time. Lent is a 40-day period from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday when Christians examine their lives in light of the Gospel.

The Society of St. Andrew, a national hunger relief organization supported in part by United Methodist Men, announces "Let Justice Roll Down Like Water," a Lenten program for 2004.

"Let Justice Roll Down Like Water" includes a short devotional and Bible verse for each day of Lent. An optional part of the spiritual growth program is the Good Friday feast. Also included in the program is a bank for donations for the society's hunger relief programs.

For more information on how to participate or how to order copies, please contact David McCleary, hunger relief advocate for the Society of St. Andrew and the North Indiana United Methodist Men, at davemccleary@yahoo.com or by calling toll-free 800-783-5138.
