A number of activities. I am Michiana Lay Leader; I feel the invigorating
presence of God in our meetings. I always come away enthused at the presence of
God in that group. Our work is serious, looking forward to expand our laity
ideas. I come away "revved up," and to be ready to go again. Work of the church
is serious, and to be involved is a way that God works. I always look for God's
influence.

I cherish my time alone with God in the early morning. Also, we live on a
farm. I feel I am blessed, and feel closer to God as I walk along over the
grass, communing with my horse and the cows and the other animals. And in our
church, we've started a "Searchers" group for people searching out answers to
life.

Rev. Diana McCracken
pastor, Hamline Chapel
Lawrenceburg |
I don't feel that I have to be in a worship service. My favorite way to
receive blessings is listening to inspirational music on a Web site or listening
early Sunday mornings to spiritual music. I feel as close to God through music
as through any other way, and receive blessings from songs and music.

Yes, when I am in fellowship with the saints. In
showing care and concern for all humankind. This ministry, in concert with
worship, puts me in touch with God and his holy family. In moments of
solitude and silence, and when I'm reading and meditating on the Scriptures.

Especially retreats at Epworth Forest Lake. They make me "just explode"
with gratitude for being close to nature at these times. I also treasure my
daily devotions.
