Faithfest 2002 makes churches more visible
"To be more visible in the community," answered the Rev. Ray Wilkins of Scott UMC-Indianapolis, when asked about their first year participation in Faithfest. The event, which is sponsored by the Church Federation, was held at the State Fairgrounds Nov. 9 and brought together numerous churches and social agencies. It included various presentations of music and other talents such as the Airbourne Acrobats. Meridian Street, Brookside, University, St. Luke's, Barnes and Scott UMCs had booths telling of their missions and programs. It was a day of peace, song and joy. Jan Jett
