'Faith Promise' conferences boost mission giving

Proverbs 29:18 says "Where there is no vision, the people perish." The Rev. Glen Beck -- director of Mission Interpretation -- suggests that "where there is mission vision, the people (and churches) will prosper." Beck reports that about 130 churches in the Indiana Area are reaping the benefits and realizing the joy and blessings that come from their annual Faith Promise Missions Conferences.

The conferences were designed to encourage church members toward the "extra mile" giving that supports missions. A church's initial conference, which usually takes place on a week-end, is led by missionaries who share stories of their ministries around the world and stress the need for mission programs and funding. Since the initiative began, many churches have met, and some even exceeded, their extra-mile mission goal by thousands of dollars.

Beck, who leads mission conferences in the Indiana Area and across the country, has also led work crusades and mission awareness tours to India, Republic of Congo, Tanzania and Haiti.

Mission Interpretation - which emphasizes the Faith Promise Missions Conference concept - is available to assist churches in mission outreach. For more information, contact Beck at 317/736-1562, e-mail: glenmissionplan@aol.com
